In international competition and in securing or developing new markets, ecological, social and developmental aspects increasingly gain in importance. For the German government's coverage decisions on export transactions and investments projects environmental issues therefore are of paramount importance. Guarantee applications are evaluated as to environmental impacts mainly under the aspect of eligibility.

Renewables

In spite of the top position, which renewable energy equipment "made in Germany" has, its export share is relatively small. An essential objective of the German government is to promote German technology for renewables to such an extent that in future their worldwide use will substantially increase.
