Project information

Publication of project information

The amount of information available on projects supported with Federal export credit guarantees has been steadily increased during the past years. On the following pages you will naturally find information on environmentally adverse projects waiting to be finally decided which has to be published pursuant to the environmental guidelines of the OECD. But the Federal Government by far exceeds the OECD requirements: additional information platforms, such as the list of officially supported projects with a contract value of more than EUR 15 million or details on all covered Category A and B projects, which are reported to the OECD each year, make sure that decisions to support projects with export credit guarantees are transparent.

Category A projects prior to final commitment

In respect of Category A projects, i.e. projects which have environmentally adverse effects, the general public is particularly interested in detailed information. For such Category A projects the relevant environmental information is to be published at least 30 days before the final commitment to grant an export credit guarantee is made.

Reporting to the OECD

Category A and B projects which are supported with export credit guarantees have to be reported to the OECD. A list of last year's projects can be found here.

Officially supported projects

If the contract value of a project exceeds EUR 15 million, the basic project information is published after the final commitment. This information is brought up to date each month.

Policyholder's consent

The information is published in compliance with the pertinent provisions under criminal and administrative law, which require the prior consent of the policyholder to the publication of his data.
