Projects that may have a significant environmental impact have
to be analysed prior to their implementation to ascertain their
direct and indirect impact. Applications for state export credit
guarantees are screened in this respect in the course of their processing.
The basis is the "Common Approaches"
Recommendation
on Common Approaches on Environment and Officially Supported Export
Credits (80.1 KB) of the OECD. The results of any Environmental
Impact Assessment, which has been carried out, are published together
with other project documents before a final decision is taken.
