| Short-term | Cover is available for transactions with private buyers on the basis of up-to-date information material which, subject to the application of strict criteria, must justify the granting of cover. Cover facilities for major projects are available on a case-by-case basis. A restrictive approach is adopted to cover of transactions with public buyers and large-scale projects are carefully examined to determine their eligibility for cover. |

| Medium/long-term | Cover is available for transactions with private buyers on the basis of up-to-date information material and a special examination of the project’s economic viability and ability to generate foreign exchange revenues. As regards the assessment of the buyer’s creditworthiness, strict criteria are applied also in respect of the repayment profile and the foreign exchange portion of the debt, the buyer’s financial reserves, market position and revenues. Cover facilities for major projects are available on a case-by-case basis. A restrictive approach is adopted to cover of transactions with public buyers and large-scale projects are carefully examined to determine their eligibility for cover. |
