Brief information on Angola
| Short-term | Cover facilities are available for transactions with contract values of up to EUR 500,000 each. Besides infrastructure projects can be covered on a case-by-case basis. Under wholeturnover policies maximum amounts are limited to EUR 2.5 million. |
|---|---|
| Medium/long-term | Cover facilities are available under a ceiling of EUR 300 million with a limit on the size of the individual transaction of EUR 30 million. In addition, cover is available for project financed and other structured finance deals, where necessary based on countertrade transactions, as well as for fully internationally financed transactions. A restrictive approach is adopted to cover of subcontracted foreign supplies and local costs. |
| Collateral | For short-term transactions bank
security is required if the foreign buyer’s creditworthiness
is inadequate. For transactions with higher contract values or longer credit periods a guarantee from the Ministry of Finance or the central bank must always be provided for transactions with public buyers. For transactions with private buyers security of from a bank which will be accepted on a case by case basis is required while collateral from the Ministry of Finance or the central bank will be accepted on a case-by-case basis only. |
